In recent years, significant progress has been made in the Hamiltonian formulation of lattice gauge theories using both quantum and classical computational frameworks. This workshop aims to bring together researchers from a wide range of backgrounds to present the latest advances, delve deeply into ongoing challenges, and stimulate new avenues of collaboration and conceptual progress.

The Hamiltonian lattice formulation of gauge theories has a long history, but due to recent computational advances it has become attractive as a promising approach. It allows us to directly study quantum states of gauge theories. Using quantum computation and tensor networks, we can obtain new results in the Hamiltonian formulation in parameter regimes for which conventional Monte Carlo simulations are prohibitively difficult due to the sign problem.

The workshop provides an opportunity to clarify the current status and to exchange ideas on the Hamiltonian formulation of lattice gauge theories. It is also intended to identify new research directions and to foster further conceptual and methodological developments.
