1-day workshop on symmetric mass generation

This workshop will bring together researchers mainly from Osaka University and Kyoto University to discuss new formulations of chiral fermions based on symmetric mass generation, centered around discussions with Prof. Cenke Xu (University of California, Santa Barbara), who will be visiting Japan during this period. Topics will include the realization of chiral fermions on the lattice, their relation to anomalies, and possible applications to gauge theories. We also aim to explore future research directions and possibilities for collaboration. Owing to the nature of the research topics discussed, the workshop is planned to be held principally as a closed meeting.
