Depending on your nationality, you may be required to obtain a visa to enter Japan. Please check the website of MOFA (The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan) to see whether or not this applies to you.
Deadline for Visa Support: If you require a visa, please complete your registration (which includes the visa support request form) no later than December 14. Note that this is earlier than the general registration deadline (January 12), as the visa application process may take a considerable amount of time. Please contact the organizers well in advance if you have any questions.
Important Note: Please be advised that the documents provided by the organizing committee (such as the Letter of Invitation or Letter of Guarantee) are intended solely to support your visa application and do not guarantee the issuance of a visa. The final decision rests entirely with the Japanese Embassy or Consulate where the application is submitted.
