Description

The Standard Model and General Relativity are the most advanced frameworks we have for describing particle physics and the universe. However, both theoretical arguments and cosmological observations point to the need for new physics beyond them. Key issues include the unitarity problem in gravitational scattering of Standard Model particles, and cosmological puzzles such as inflation, baryogenesis, and dark matter.

Recently, attention has shifted beyond extensions of the Standard Model to questions about its consistency with gravity and the possible emergence of new degrees of freedom in quantum field theory. Other active areas of research include new types of symmetries, the swampland conjectures, and bigravity.

In response to these developments, we hold a workshop to share insights into these new ideas and to examine the validity of their underlying principles.
